Why do you consider this to be a bug?  It sounds like it's doing what
it's supposed to.

Perhaps you don't understand that N goes on to the next newsgroup only.
It does not pretend it offered you all the stuff in the newsgroup you
skipped.  The idea is that you are saying "I don't want to see this
stuff for now, put it off until I have more time".

Is there really demand for a command that says "throw away all this
drivel, but I don't want to unsubscribe to the newsgroup"?  Seems
risky to me, since you don't have any idea what's coming up.
