The scheme Brad mentions is already implemented in Berkeley's new sendmail
program (which is a successor to delivermail).  This program is still in
the test stage and not available yet.  However, any long term effort in
this direction will probably be wasted, since the world appears about ready
to go with arpa's proposed user.host@network universal address syntax.
Thus, my address would be mark.cbosgd@uucp.  All the same routing issues
come up, but why invent the wheel twice?
