followup articles
I think that some method for follow-up articles is necessary.  While
no scheme that doesn't require the user to cite an original article
will work perfectly, I'd suggest the following for version B netnews:

Sort first on newsgroups (currently implemented).

Sort all articles by title, recognizing the following three forms as
       equal:
               title
               Re: (articleid) title
               Re: title

Within such groups, sort by date of submission (this should be included
in the header in some form -- getdate() can calculate it given a
permutation of the info in the human-readable line).

Sort groups by submission date of the first item.

Perhaps as an option, if the first item in a group is a reference
to an earlier one with (articleid) included, insert that article
as well (if it still exists here, of course -- no error if it doesn't).

Provide a 'followup' command which would generate a new article
with a title of the second form given above.

Comments on desirability or feasibility?
