interest in net.rec.photo ?
Is there any interest in a newsgroup about photography?
I raise the point because I am currently evaluating several
35mm cameras and am looking for some anecdotes from experienced
users, but in general, photography comes into play in many
technical areas as well, such as astronomy, scuba, and various
sciences (not the least of which is physics).  I am wiling
to compile the votes...
