problem with readnews -e
For some reason, "readnews -e" does not seem to work for me when
run from /usr/lib/crontab.  I have the following line in /usr/lib/crontab:

       45 2 * * * * /usr/local/readnews -e all

But nothing ever seems to get removed.  On the other hand, when I run
readnews by hand, cleanup works fine.  I don't see how it could be
a matter of permissions, because when I run readnews "by hand" I'm
logged in as me, whereas all the spool directories etc are owned by
a special user "netnews".  Therefore, my manual "readnews -e" is
being run with the minimum of privilege.  This morning, I ran
readnews -e and cleaned up 939 files totalling 3540 blocks.

I'm running version B netnews, gamma distrib.
