Well golly gee folks, I thought keeping a change log was compulsive enough to
get me a job with IBM-- you mean I'm supposed to TEST it???  ...In order to
mitigate some of that distress and hand-wringing out there, I must report that
after veritably EXHAUSTIVE testing (it must have been at least once!), my fix
for the garbaged log file appears to work.  Amazing.

It is indeed shocking to discover that such shoddy practices still exist, and
I join you all in condemning such sins.  But, ahh-- such are the small
pleasures of a university environment!  You get what you pay for...
