This may be good thing. I know of several headphone listeners, that
is hi-fi headphones, who have incurred permanent hearing losses by
playing too loud.
You should be aware that there are no limiters built into h-fi
headphones, and it is quite possible to damage your hearing by
playing them too loud.
If you experience any ringing or dullness in your ears after
using headphones, or if you notice that you are turning up the
level after listening for a while because things dd
dont seem quite as loud, beware!
Many rock musicians are known to have lost a good part of their
hearing, dont try to recreate their environment.
