Moog synthesizer
Boy, this list seems to have dried up. Let's get it going again.

Has anyone seen or used the new small Moog synthesizer (possibly
marketed by Radio Shack)? I saw an article about it but haven't
tracked it down yet; it sounded very nice.

I am interested in purchasing a keyboard instrument, thus my interest.
It has to be something within my budget (grad student) and
my style of living (dorm room). Suggestions are welcome; a Fender
Rhodes (my first thought) seems prohibitively expensive, especially
when you add a decent amp. I am really only interested in
instruments with a standard keyboard, so the new Casio instrument/calculator
is out. (See, I'm really flexible -- I had considered both ends
of the scale.) I read in Comp. Music Jrnl about the higher end
Casio synthesizers; anyone have experience with them they'd
care to relate?

I am both interested in an instrument that could be used for
performance and/or computer aided synthesis and/or random
improvisation. The Moog seems to win on all three, but
the 2 1/2 octave keyboard scares me away a little....
