Systems software for 6520-based microcomputers

Is anyone familiar with the book "Beyond Games: Systems Software for Your
6502 Personal Computer", by Kenneth Skier (Byte Books)? Is it worth buying,
if one has such a computer, and is interested in developing some 'customized'
systems software for it?  Does anyone know of any [other] good books on the
subject?
