RE: Paradoxen
Since the subject has come up, has anyone heard of any recent "results"
comments, observations etc on the infamous "Newcombe's Paradox"? [It
is a very simply stated (really non-mathematical) UNBELIEVEABLY ANNOYING
paradox, which Martin Gardner explored in Mathematical Games (Sci. American)
a few years back.] The "solution" (not really the right word) has never
been firmly decided upon, to my knowledge. I would be interested to hear
anyone's comments and/or ramblings.
By the way, anyone opposed to signing articles? The once-reccomended
practice seems to be disappearing. Its interesting to know name and affiliation
of people you're reading.
