what's your favorite paradox?
Log(0) is indeed confusing, but I'd rather hear people's
favorite paradoxes.  By paradox, I mean a result that can demonstrated
or proved, but which is very upsetting to one's intuitions.  In order
to keep as many of net.math's readers as possible, I suggest that they
be kept elementary. (That probably leaves out the Banach-Tarski paradox
and many of the paradoxes of set theory, but if someone wants to try to
give a simple presentation...)  My favorite is the "Alabama paradox",
which has to do with apportionment methods for the House of Represen-
tatives.  I'll write up a short description-- let's limit them to a
page-- and submit it to net.math in a day or so.
