The past president of our local radio club, Chip
Howard (N4AFU) was in an auto accident last august, suffered a spinal
injury, and is currently paralyzed from the shoulders on down.

Several of us are also working on a tone controlled switch
to select and activate various circuits (currently 2 meter rig + vox
control). If anyone has experience with problems of this sort, we
could certainly use the help. Particularly troublesome is the
development of signaling and timeout schemes that dont leave mikes open
etc.

[There is a group called 'handi-hams', supported by the ARRL and other
volunteers throughout the country, which collects circuits and educational
material for handicapped amateurs and other interested parties.
They sponsor classes, including a 2 week camp for soon-to-be hams; and even
have some equipment available at low cost or on loan.
Something more specific might be needed in this case,
so I am hoping other net readers might have more to offer.
