This item is being generated from the U of I 'notesfile' program.
This program was presented at the last USENIX meeting.  I think
it has a superior user interface (menu driven).  I'm posting
this item (note) to:
       a) test the interface to netnews
       b) generate some interest
       c) get people's observations

The notes-news interface needs some cosmetic work.  I already changed
it so the 'subject' netnews readers see is indeed the subject (plus a
disclaimer) rather than merely the disclaimer.

This is a 'slick' system, well documented inside and out.  I suggest
you write '...!decvax!pur-ee!uiucdcs!essick' and try it out.
