Erik,
Would you please put out a inquiry on ARPANET for ideas about
Computer Literacy.

I would also like to do the same for Computers and Society.
..Social Impact of Computers.  That is a course I teach and I
would welcome some ideas from others about the topic and how to
teach it to undergraduates.

How about having replies come to me at e:woodson.

To reply to this query, mail to ucbvax!E:woodson or
E.woodson@Berkeley. The Person querying is Professor Charles
E. Woodson of the School of Education here at the University of
California at Berkeley. He is going to teach a course during the
Spring Quarter, here at Berkeley, concerning the Organization of
Computers for Humans to use. He is also a prominent member of the
Academic Senate Committee on Computing, which sets computing policy
for the Berkeley Campus. The Committee is currently debating the
issue of computer literacy (What is it, should we require a course,
etc.) and any ideas from the outside world for our ivory tower would
be welcome. If you have ideas or opinions on either of these topics,
please mail them to the addresses cited above. Thanks in advance to
respondents.
