chain letters on the net
Some turkeys evidently have decided it's funny, funny, funny to start
sending chain letters around Usenet.  With all the mail headers on them,
these messages are many Kbytes.  For some strange reason, when we're
paying phone bills for 300-baud long distance calls, this does not seem
amusing.  This is EXACTLY the sort of thing that could lead to humorless
administrators closing down people's network connections on the grounds
that the money is being wasted.  For heaven's sake people, STOP IT!!!
Your thoughtless empty-headed practical joke is endangering the network
that many people worked long and hard to set up!
