Name for a newsgroup on spiritous liquors
The response to a new group on wines and liquors has been overwhelmingly
in favor. But there have been several suggestions for names. I list them
in my order of preference:
net.wines With subgroups for special topics even thought names
like net.wines.whiskey might seem inconsistent
net.wine The same, just shorter; aesthetically unpleasing
net.spirits To make net.spirits.wines, net.spirits.beer, etc.,
consistent.
net.cooks.wines Why go so deep?
Vote by mail to me; any net administrator who wants to comment or take over
the naming is free to do so. I will try to fair in counting votes. An
announcement will be made before the group goes operational.
