net.general vs net.misc
Yes, there is a net.misc newsgroup, but nobody seems to use it.
I should think that this would be a wonderful place to reply to
initial querys in net.general. A case in point would be the
recent factorial query. Not all of us are interested in this
sort of thing, but feel obligated to read things in net.general
because of their possible importance. Net.misc is a good way
to keep net.general free of trivia without starting new newgroups
for short lived topics. Use it today!
