cooking newsgroup
I'd like to propose a newsgroup on a subject of compelling interest
to, I think, everybody: food.  More specifically, recipes.  For years
now, I've been researching a cookbook.  That is, I've been collecting
a list of the finest, most elegant recipes I've cooked from. Surely
there are many cooks out there who've done the same.
The 'news' part of such a newsgroup would be "Hey, this is good. Try
it."  I expect the run of recipes at a particular time would be keyed
to the time of year and to the availability/cheapness of particular
ingredients.
May I also define a 'good' recipe?  At least the definition I use
includes sensory appeal (both eye and taste), but also a loose
adjective, elegance.  This refers to an optimal combination of
results, time involved in preparation, effort/skill required in
preparation, and cheapness of cost.
 Any takers???

Steve
