Origins of folk history
I would like to steer net discussions away from introverted and
incestuous issues, which have characterised it of late.  Does anyone
have any ideas, theories, or knowledge about exactly what did happen
to Billy Joe McAllister on the Tallahassee Bridge, all those years ago.
I refer, of course, to the storyline of the popular folk song "Ode to
Billy Joe".  Here's hoping somebody knows. . .
