       Supposedly, it was the French philosopher, Voltaire, who said
"I may not agree with what yoy say, but I will defend with my life your
right to say it", however, I have heard that he it wasn't really him.
(I'm not sure whether it was "defend with my life" or "defend to the
death" but, if it is a translation from the French, it doesn't really
matter, since translations need not be word-by-word literal.)
