contact user names
One of the functions of the USENET directory that mark compiles and
encourages is the listing of a contact userid for the site.  Rather
than remembering all these, and keeping them up to date, it seems to
me that it makes much more sense to define a common name on the net
for the contact userid ('contact' seems fine to me, although this name has
to be one that will conflict with no normal user name that might come up)
that anybody could mail to in relative safety.  This could be done either
with an actual account, or with a system alias.  (The alias has the advantage
that it really is the contact person, even if s/he changes, and could even
point to another machine if there is one administrator for a large group)

I guess every machine has a root, but the mail for this userid is not
reliably read.

Comments and suggestions on a possible name for the userid?
