The Amulet of Yendor is a comma (,) and from what I hear and read,
you will find it after the 20th level and are guarenteed to find
it before level 26 if you haven't found it before.  Once you start
going up, you do get easier monsters to fight -- which becomes both
fun and a nuisance when you start swatting away Kobolds with 100+
hit points!
