A scroll of information
The highest score on the local ROGUENET (six machines - hocs?)
has been 7705 gold on level 23.  We now run a slightly chocolate
version of rogue - the change is to display what weapon is currently
being wielded on the status line (How many times have we switched
to the bow to fight a leprechaun and then forget to wield the mace
or a sword?).  So our game plays the same, it just helps forgetful
adventurers.  A while back, somebody mentioned a bug in rogue when
at deep levels and all the wandering monsters have been booned.
This is a bug in function "randmonster" - it loops endlessly since
there aren't any wandering monsters left.  I suggest that the
game be changed to limit this loop (say attempt 20 times to find
a monster), or don't let the last wandering monster be booned.
We haven't done this to our game because it would involve changing
the way the game plays.

Another problem we've encountered - when the system is heavily loaded,
saved games may not be written in time for them to be restartable.
I don't think there is a good fix to this - increasing the time window
would open the possibility of multiple restarts from the same game -
though I'll refrain from saying what the procedure to do this would be.

Also,  if the Nymph steals a cursed ring off your hand, the hand remains
cursed.  Is this a bug or a feature?
