Re: posting bug fixes with diffs
I am not sure I like seeing only diffs that are editor scripts.  Often
an installation makes some minor changes to a piece of software, thus
throwing the line numbers off by a couple.  Thus the editor script type
of diff would be almost impossible to install.  In fact, after making
all the changes that came out after the b-news distribution, I really
appreciated the very verbose type of diff, the one that includes about
3 lines of context around the change.  Someone should post that one
to net.sources because it really is superior to the old one where you
saw only one line.  For kicks, if diff says to fix line 50, and your
source has exact copies of that line at numbers 45 and 55, try to
guess which one it meant!
