Can they be used in place of crock pots?  If so, they wouldn't be quite so
'excessive'.
       Bob's rice recipe looks good - I imagine the lemon peel adds a
nice flavor.  I tried wild rice for the first time last week, it didn't
live up to my expectations - not too different from the brown rice
I know and love.
