rice cookers
A few months ago Consumer Reports reported on rice cookers.  They
thought highly of them.  The basic principle is that whatever you
put in it is cooked until all the water is gone (it senses a rapid
temperature increase).  Then the heat is turned off.
Thus you control how long something cooks by how much water you add.
It works for rice and for steaming foods.
Is there any experience out there with these?  What brands,
where did you get them, etc?
