Garlic Presses
I've been using the same Swiss Susi garlic press for at least 15 years
now.  It's easier to clean if you don't peel the garlic first, just
throw it in, squish it, open it and pluck out the peel.

Second the person who recommended a stove lighter.  Brookstone Tools
(Peterborough NH) sells a good one by mail-order.

Don't forget a sharpening stone -- and practice -- to keep those knives
sharp.

The best Chinese cleavers are made by the Good Old American Dixon
company.  Get the small size (7 x 2.75 inches or 18 x 7 cm). It's
in stainless steel and difficult to sharpen.  But it doesn't need
sharpening very often.
