Easy cleaning, multi-use garlic press

Why do you need a garlic press in the first place?  Instead, buy
a nice hefty Chinese cleaver (I swear by my stainless steel Joyce
Chen model).  A light smack of cleaver on clove makes peeling
trivial, and a nice firm blow followed by a few cuts across the
grain provides garlic fully qualified as "finely chopped". The
fewer the gadgets the better, I say.
