The following caption appears under a group of pictures of people
eating food in this morning's N.Y. Times:

       Exotic Fare
Reaction varied to a dinner at the University of California at
Berkeley.  There were grasshoppers in the avocado dip and
various cricket dishes.  Purpose?  Bugs are an ignored source
of protein.
