More on Toast
Hot buttered toast is considered a barbaric American custom
by some Englishmen and other Anglophiles who believe the proper
way it should be served is cold and hard.
Suitable devices called toast racks are available in GB
for achieving this condition.
They can be found in variations from cheap stamped aluminum to
sterling silver and Limoges porcelain.
They are almost impossible to find in the states except for
certain "gourmet" shops or antique dealers.
