RE: pie crust
Pie crust made with lard is the flakiest.
Crust made with butter tastes best.
Crusts made with any kind of oil have nothing
worthwhile to offer compared with lard and butter.

Perhaps if the flour is stored in an air-tight
container (e.g., a large canning jar), you won't
have a problem with it being overly moist or dry.
