Shuttle Landing
Led by its double sonic boom, Columbia touched down on Northrup
Strip after 8 days, 4 hours, and 49 minutes aloft.  A few gasps
were heard when the nose rose for an instant, but then it rolled
to a perfect stop, right on top of a line drawn on the runway.
It was towed within a few hours to a hangar, to protect it from the
winds, where it will be mated onto a 747 for its flight back to
KSC in about 10 days.
