Don't Worry
If news does start going into net.space rather than net.columbia,
all that will be noticed on the USENET end is:
1) You will get undigested articles from the space digest going
  into our space news group
2) All those who wanted to change the name to net.space in the
  good ol' days will have gotten their way
No distribution delays should be experienced by USENET folk.
