Ariane
Although the estimated cost for satellite launches aboard the American
shuttle is less than with the Ariane, many observers feel that the shuttle's
prices will have to rise sharply: the costs were projected assuming a
turnaround schedule that will probably be unachievable. Longer turnarounds
will mean higher costs per flight. When the shuttle becomes operational,
its prices may be higher than Ariane's.
