SRB-X
NASA is now planning an experimental unmanned rocket, the
SRB-X, to supplement shuttle flights.  While the shuttle
will continue to be the cheapest way of getting things into
orbit, the SRB-X, to be built by Boeing Aerospace, will
supplement the shuttle flights.  It will be designed from
shuttle components, and expected to pack the power (and
maybe a little more) or the current SRB.  After launch,
it too will parachute into the ocean and be recovered
for reuse.  It is to take the place of the Delta and
Atlas Centaur boosters.
