President Reagan today pinned NASA's highest award, the Distinguished
Service Medal, on Joe Engle and Richard Truly, and praised them for
carrying out their major flight objectives, despite a short mission,
on STS-2.  In turn, Engle and Truly, gave Reagan a silver medal
marking their flight, pictures of the mission, and an American flag
they carried aboard with them.
