news conference
Joe Engle and Richard Truly, holding their first news
conference since the return of the Columbia, said that
the mission should have been termed a ``maximum accomplishment
mission.''  They also said that since most of the main
objectives of STS-2 had been fulfilled, there were no plans
at the time to cut STS-3, now scheduled tentatively for
mid-March, 1982, from its planned seven day mission.
NASA announced that the crew for STS-3 will be Jack Robert
Jousma and Charles G. Fullerton, both 45.
