shuttle info
Pad 39A was cleared of all but essential workers today
in preparation for the countdown -- scheduled to begin
at 0100 EDT on Saturday.  Explosives were installed --
some to break holding bolts on the pad; others to be
detonated by the range safety officer (with the possibility
of escape by the astronauts) if the shuttle veers towards
a populated area.

The shuttle will once again land at Rogers Dry Lake at
Edwards Air Force Base with a 15,000 foot strip at Cape
Canaveral in sight for the fourth and final test flight.
