satellite spacing
The FCC is proposing to change its rules regarding the spacing
of communications satellites (some 22,300 miles above the
earth in geostationary orbits) to allow closer spacing to
alleviate the shortage of room up there.

The announcement came it the commission authorized Satellite
Business Systems to launch a fourth satellite (they now have
launched two) and Western Union to launch a sixth.
