I have been receiving mail about the appropriativeness of net.columbia
as the name of this group. I originally named it such for it was going
to deal with the shuttle itself, but then it expanded (before actual
creation!) to the space program, and I stuck to the name. My reason
was that i thought that the greatest part of our national attention
towards the space program was to the STS. However, some of you have
commented that there are other parts of the program equally important
(which i fully agree with) and even more shuttle to come. So, with
that, I thought that the net should now be open to discussion of a
name which will be most appropriate.
