totally buffered (for less stomach upset?)
As we started porting our own programs to 2bsd, some of them behaved
strangely. Most exasperating was output getting all intertwingled, coming
out at the wrong points. After a fair amount of searching, I have realized
that in the distributed stdio, stdout is buffered! This is not mentioned
anywhere. It would be good to mention vital little tidbits like this
in some of the documentation that accompanied the distribution.
