Unibus Microprocessor Front End
Associated Computer Consultants  228 E. Cota St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101
makes a device called the UMC-Z80 which is a nicely designed microprocessor
system that sits on the Unibus, does DMA, can be configured with various
memory systems, I/O controllers, interfaces, etc.  We are using it as the
basis of interfaces to talk bisync to IBM 6670 printers and in a device
which makes our 11/70 look like an IBM channel host to Xerox 9700 laser
printers.  Our experience with it has been good.  (I expect my check in the
mail from A.C.C. any minute now...)
