canard crash
 11/20/81 Hampton,Va.(UPI) An experimental airplane being tested
at the NASA-Langley Research Center crashed into the Chesapeake
Bay yesterday, killing three men who designed and built the plane.

 Two of the victims were Langley researchers.  The third fatality
was the chief engineer for Piper Advanced Technologies, the
designers and builders of the aircraft.
