Availability of Writer's Workbench?
>From TRB@MIT-MC Fri Jul 31 04:17:31 1981
Lorinda Cherry, author of the core of Writer's Workbench says:
The "style" and "diction" programs are now part of the Berkeley
software distribution.  The rest of Writer's Workbench is not.
There is the usual legal battle going on to get the stuff all
cleared for distribution.

If you want to run Writer's Workbench on your machine or even
if you want manual pages, you need a UNIX license, even if you
have a machine with a C compiler that doesn't/can't run UNIX.
Style and diction use lex and yacc, so you'd need those to
generate them, but I think they would run on any machine for
which there is a compatible C compiler.
