Steve,
I was assuming by touchpanels that people mean those transparent
devices, or LED-matrix arrays, that get mounted on terminal
screens.  I therefore don't see any distinction between the Bit
Pad One with a piece of hardware for the cursor and the Three
Rivers touch-tablet which requires only my fingertip (except I
don't have four buttons on the touch-tablet).  The fine point
that touch tablets need not be mounted on the screen did not
escape me...in fact, I even cite the 3RCC touch tablet in an
earlier note.
