Maybe I am a little dense, but:
strcpyn, strcatn, and strcmpn are already unique in the first 6 chars!
strncpy, strncat, and strncmp are 7 chars (still unique in 6)
so what was accomplished by the change? (they didn't
shorten to 6 chars, and they were already unique!)
