I've been told by several alternate memory vendors that there is an (artificial)
limit of 2mb imposed by the memory controller on the 750.  This evidently is
a ucode limitation in the memory controller, which presumably will be lifted
when DEC announces 1mb cards.  Since extra memory capacity is one selling
point for the 780, I doubt that DEC is in any rush to remove the limitation,
at least until it has 1mb cards.
