Pointer to Unix intro
>From RYLAND@SRI-KL Wed Nov 18 21:14:08 1981
Sorry for any duplication on these two mailing lists, but people from both
will probably be interested in a new book from Reston Publishing Co (a
Prentice-Hall Co.), 1981: "Using the UNIX System", by Richard Gauthier.
It tries to teach vanilla V7 Unix, and does a plausible job. It includes
system-manager information (how the file system works, and how to repair
broken file systems, though not in any real detail).

It was typeset with TeX on an Onyx box (a Unidot demi-product), using
BNR's Alphatype with Don Knuth's fonts.  Fairly slick, though it uses
those horrid boxes at the top of each page (as exemplified by the TeX
manual).
