Can anyone give me any useful information about this terminal. I have the
opportunity to buy one used for about $500. It seems to have all sorts of
"smart" features which require the host to cooperate -- can it also be used
as a "dumb" terminal? If I buy it used, will DEC give me ANY kind of support
if/when it craps out? Is there anything about it to lead one to believe
that it's a dog? Is the price right? ETC.
Please answer directly to me, as I am not on this mailing list.
The opportunity for purchase will evaporate at the end of next week, so
instant info will be much appreciated.
