I (still) am looking for a terminal to drive monitors in a large
lecture hall. Standard 80 character lines prove to be unreadable.

VT100's have a bizarre way of invoking their big characters which is not
feasible with various stupid systems I need to drive the terminals

   Any suggestions?

Have you seen the way the Harvard Science Center projects an ordinary
CRT onto a 25' square screen?  Seems to work quite well.
